# Know Before You Go: Is Your Insurance Ready To Go with You to Mexico?

You’re up for an adventure, and the Mexican border is just a three-hour drive from Phoenix. With such a short drive, you and your friends could spend the day shopping or sightseeing in Mexico and be back in time to watch *The Bachelor* or the big game. Before you take off, we should mention that you need your passport to hangout across the border, no matter how short of a time you plan to stay. You’re going to need to check on car insurance too.
